Case Study
Royal Signals Accreditation

The Royal Signals provides high grade technical training for all trades within the Corps. This training is closely mapped to tie up with City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC and other qualifications, which service personnel can obtain by sitting some additional exams and getting work accredited.
However, a significant number of personnel do not take up the opportunity, whilst people who have left the Corps encounter significant problems with employment, and then call the School of Signals trying to retrospectively get credit, but discover it’s too late.
This DVD uses a combination of dramatisation to tell the stories of two NCOs, one of whom is a corporal who does make the most of accreditation opportunities, the other is a SSM who doesn’t and ends up working for the corporal.
There are a further two documentary tracks, one aimed at those starting with the Corps, the other aimed at those about to leave, which point up the issues for both audiences.
